Palm Beach County Permit Expediting
Palm Beach County covers a lot of ground, from Boca Raton in the south to Jupiter in the north and west toward the Glades. Since 2004, Permit Express LLC has helped contractors, design professionals, and owners get residential and commercial permits through the county’s many building departments. Our Pompano Beach office is a short drive from the county line.
County or City: Know Who Reviews Your Project
In Palm Beach County, the agency that issues your permit depends on where the property sits. Work in the unincorporated areas goes through the Palm Beach County Planning, Zoning and Building Department (PZB). Its Building Division permit center is on North Jog Road in West Palm Beach, and applications are filed through its ePZB online portal. PZB’s review has several stages: zoning conformance with the county’s Unified Land Development Code, plan review against the Florida Building Code, and inspections.
Each incorporated city and town has its own building department, with its own procedures, checklists, and portal. Two properties a few blocks apart can follow very different permitting paths. That’s why we confirm the jurisdiction and its requirements at the start, not after a rejection.

What We Handle for Palm Beach County Projects
Upfront research
For each project we confirm the jurisdiction, the departments involved, the clearances, fees, permits, and expected timelines. We look up previous permits, planning cases, and easements on file that could affect the work. Then we send a clear checklist to the architect and engineer so everyone knows what they owe and when.
Complete, accurate submittals
Our permit technicians fill out applications and the jurisdiction’s required documents, review the plans for completeness, collate sets for each reviewing department, and verify supporting documents before submittal. The goal is a package that moves through review the first time.
Representation during review
We attend pre-submittal meetings, plan check meetings, and client meetings as needed. When reviewers issue comments, we coordinate the corrections with your design team and keep following up so the project doesn’t stall.
Smarter review options
Where a jurisdiction allows it, we ask for over-the-counter plan checks, appointment-based plan checks, or shorter review timelines. We also pursue waivers or reductions of high development impact fees when they’re available.
Reporting you can count on
You get a same-day submittal report, then weekly update reports, weekly conference calls, and a shared Google Sheet showing where every permit stands.
Projects of Every Size
We take on residential and commercial projects, from a single trade permit to a multi-department commercial build-out. Our services cover building, electrical, plumbing, and other permits, plus renewals of expired permits and Notice of Commencement recording. When a property is being sold, we can search for open permits on file. At the end of a project, we handle permit closeout and the Certificate of Occupancy. Permit fees can be billed to you or your clients.
